2012 District Spring Conference

District 18 is one of 33 districts of the United States Power Squadrons®, the world's largest private, non-profit, boating organization. District 18 (D18) geographically is located in northeastern Massachusetts and consist of 4 different Squadrons with over 500 members who share boating knowledge and camaraderie. Experienced instructors teach courses on Seamanship, Piloting, Navigation, Weather and much more. Successfully completing one of the USPS Public Boating Courses meets the educational requirements for boat operation in all states.

Marblehead and Salem Waters - Local Hazards SeminarMarblehead and Salem waters, Local Hazards Seminar. The popular, long running seminar "Local Hazards" will be presented by the Marblehead Sail & Power Squadron on Wednesday, May 16th at 7:00-9:00 P.M. at the Marblehead Community Center, 1 Humphrey St., Marblehead This free two-hour session will demonstrate how many submerged hazards are near, or on routes commonly used by local boaters. Even the most seasoned boater who has "local knowledge" will probably learn something new from this presentation. The seminar is open to teens as well as adults. Admission is free but due to limited room capacity pre-registration is required by May 14. Visit www.marblehead-usps.org to pre-register. Questions?
