No Discharge Area in salem Sound
Members of the USCG Auxiliary and US Power Squadron regularly provide safe boating courses, perform courtesy vessel examinations, and participate in various public outreach activities to the boating public.
All of the New England states have petitioned the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) to establish No Discharge Areas (NDAs) in all or part their coastal and estuary waters. It is important that commercial and recreational boaters operating in those designated areas understand the laws and how to properly comply with them.
A PPT presentation is available for USPS members to review and use to present this information to the Boating public.
